Start Solids

Marcus got Tannen to start on solids last week. We tried rice for the first time, and Tannen seemed to get it down fine. My other two hated rice in the beginning. I am please with it, and need to keep being motivated to feed it to him everyday. Tannen loved playing with the spoons.

Fourth of July

Marcus lighting fireworks, and the kids lined up to watch

Starting from the rt Corynn, Landon, Kylie, Clayton, Alyssa

I got to stay here and play with Tiffani and her kids for the Fourth of July. We had such a great time. We did boating all afternoon. He kids were hilarious, especially Clayton in the tube, and Corynn and Alyssa trying to keep up. And Tiffani got up on the wakeboard her first time, and everytime after that too. Then we went to Tiffani's house and had a barbecue, homemade ice cream that Tiffani made, and our own little fireworks.

Summer Reunions

My sisters - Tiffani, Prego Candice, Rochelle, Me, Laurel. We are missing our Sara.

The Buck/Woodbury Reunion was at a private lake over by Jerome this year. We had it the last weekend in June. We decided to combine my siblings reunion with my mom's family due to scheduling when people could get there. We had lots of food and boating and had a great time.

The Simons Reunion was July 10-13th. Most of the time we were in Bear Lake. We had a great time and was able to see all of our family. We brought our boat and had a lot of boating and games. We also went up to Marcus' parents house, and Monday got to have an all day adult boating time with the siblings that were still there. We had a wonderful time with family.

My others sisters minus two. Kara, Me, Carol, Lauren, Kimberly. We are missing Hollie, and Ginger. This was our girls night on the boat with Floyd driving.

Cousin Play

So my kids really have enjoyed being closer to family. Plus they seem to role play out their life. They pretend play webkins, Harry Potter, and for the last couple of months cousins. They have seen a lot of my side of the family, with my sister living here, and the last few weekends visiting family and reunions. So Landon is Corrinne, or Namoi, or Benjamin, or Madalyn, and Kylie is Alyssa, Corrinne, Savhanna, or Gabby. Just today they are getting excited for the Simons family reunion for the up and coming weekend. They found out their cousins from North Carolina are coming and are so excited. So all morning Landon has been Madeline, and Kylie has been Chloe. We can't wait to play.

Bedtime Snuggles

So as I was snuggling Landon to go to bed I asked him if I was a good mom. He said yes sometimes. I and asked him why I was a good mom. He told me because I make him good food. Then I asked him what else. And he said because I am a good nurse. I asked him like nursing Tannen, and he said no, like taking care of him. Thanks to Tiffani working Landon and I had a long discussion on what nurses do. So I take good care of him when he isn't feeling good. Then I asked him when wasn't I a good mom. He said when I give him choices that he doesn't like. I thought our conversation was pretty cute, and I liked the insight I got into his 6 year old brain.

At the end of our conversation he told me he was almost to 2nd Nephi. We pulled out the Book of Mormon, and sure enough he is on page 40. It was 9:00 so I told him no reading and he said he reads every night. So I relented and told him he could read for 30 minutes and then he needed to go to bed. He is working towards a milkshake, and the Bible. I told him when I was a kid I was promised a milkshake everytime I read the Book of Mormon, and that I would do the same. It worked for me - I finished it by the time I was nine. Plus he really wants the Bible so I told him once he reads the Book of Mormon I would buy him a Bible. He also thought he should get a milkshake after reading each Book in the Book of Mormon. At least he is persistant and knows what he wants.

Are You Kidding Me!!

So Marcus and I planned on waking up early this morning to go boating. We were hoping to beat the rush. We woke up the kids and were at the reservoir at 9:00 in the morning. Not real early but there still weren't a lot of people out. Marcus pulls through the enterance and stops the truck and I run in to get to get an annual pass. I buy it and run back into the truck to go. Marcus tries to start up the truck and it won't work. He tries for awhile and then figures out the fuel pump is out. Long story short we are about to get our neighbor to tow us home and everything. But let me give you a history of the last month.

Yesterday we just got our car back from being detailed and fixed from hitting the deer. We took it in on Monday and got it back four days later. Just on Tuesday Marcus replaced the water pump on the truck because we had been leaking antifreeze a ton. On Monday we just picked up our boat that had been sitting in the shop for two weeks because the alternator had gone out, and a sensor went off. We had to send out for the part to get refurbished. Marcus originally thought it was the fuel pump and had replaced that himself. But then decided to take in the boat because that didn't fix the problem. So they replace the alternator and reset the sensor. And about two months ago we had to take in the car and get the a/c fixed on it. It has been a busy couple of months for fixing up our vehicles. It is a good thing we don't own anymore, or I am sure we would be fixing them too.
